Master the art of laundry with us! This is your go-to resource for smarter washing, smarter care, and smarter choices.

Whether you're looking to conquer stubborn stains, extend the life of your favorite garments, or make your routine more planet-friendly, we've got you covered. Explore our tips below to transform your laundry day.

Protect Our Planet

  • Wash in Cold Water: Up to 90% of a washer's energy goes to heating water. Choosing cold cuts your carbon footprint significantly.

  • Maximize Your Load: Save water and energy by waiting for a full load, but be careful not to overcrowd the machine.

  • High-Efficiency Machines: Our commercial washers are designed to use less water and energy per load than most household machines.

  • Eco-Friendly Detergents: We offer and recommend biodegradable detergents that are gentler on our waterways.

  • Line Dry When Possible: Embrace the sun's free energy! It naturally whitens whites and deodorizes fabrics without any cost.

  • Recycle Packaging: We provide bins for recycling detergent bottles, dryer sheet boxes, and plastic film. Please use them!

  • Ditch Single-Use Plastics: Consider using reusable laundry pods or sheets instead of single-use plastic detergent bottles.

  • Maintain Your Wardrobe: Caring for your clothes properly reduces the need to replace them frequently, cutting down on textile waste.

  • Donate, Don't Discard: Gently used clothes can find a new home. We partner with local charities for easy donation drop-offs.

  • Choose Natural Fibers: When shopping, opt for cotton, wool, or linen over synthetic fabrics, which shed microplastics.

Washing Tips

Self-Service Washing & Drying:

  • Sort Smartly: Separate clothes by color (whites, lights, darks) and fabric type to prevent dye transfer and damage.

  • Check Pockets: Always empty pockets to avoid tissue explosions, pen marks, or coins that can damage machines.

  • Pre-Treat Stains: Tackle stains immediately with a pre-treatment solution or a simple paste of baking soda and water for best results.

  • Master the Measure: Use the recommended amount of detergent. Too much won't clean better and can leave residue on your clothes.

  • Zip and Button: Close zippers to prevent snagging and fasten hooks/buttons to protect delicate fabrics in the wash.

  • Turn Clothes Inside Out: This protects colors from fading and prevents pilling on the outside of fabrics like sweatshirts and jeans.

  • Choose the Right Cycle: Use cold water for darks and brights, warm for man-made fibers, and hot for whites and heavily soiled items.

  • Don't Overload the Machine: Clothes need room to agitate and rinse properly for a thorough clean.

  • Set a Timer: Avoid leaving finished loads in the washer to prevent mildew smells and keep machines free for others.

  • Shake It Out: Give clothes a quick shake before transferring them to the dryer to reduce wrinkles and speed up drying time.

  • Extend Garment Life: Proper washing and drying significantly reduce wear and tear, making your favorite clothes last longer.

  • Read the Care Label: Always check the fabric care instructions—it's your best guide to washing and drying temperatures.

  • Fold Don't Hang: Knits, sweaters, and delicate items should be folded to avoid stretching out of shape on a hanger.

  • Use Mesh Bags: Wash delicate items like lingerie, hosiery, and baby clothes in mesh laundry bags for extra protection.

  • Air Dry Delicates: Skip the heat for delicate fabrics. Lay sweaters flat or hang dresses to dry naturally and maintain their shape.

  • Clean the Lint Filter: Always clean the dryer's lint filter before every load to improve efficiency and prevent a fire hazard.

  • Avoid Over-Drying: Use lower heat settings and remove clothes promptly to prevent shrinkage, static cling, and energy waste.

  • Iron Efficiently: Iron clothes while they are slightly damp or use the steam setting for easier wrinkle removal.

  • Store Clothes Properly: Ensure clothes are completely dry before storing them to prevent musty odors and mold.

  • Refresh, Don't Rewash: For clothes that aren't dirty, just need freshening up, use a quick steam or tumble with a dryer sheet.
